So much to do, so little time

Is such a mess of different things.  If I'm not planning for school, I'm at a soccer game.  If I'm not at a soccer game I'm at volleyball.  If I'm not at volleyball I'm at soccer practice.

This is the way life should be. So filled with tons of different things, that you don't have time to even document it, no matter how badly you want to.  This weekend is already shaping up to be a busy one filled with sunshine and the river or lake.  I may start hating it soon, but this Arizona weather right now, is pretty alright.

Is your spring filled to the brim with activities as well?

my week

I am a total slacker, but in my defense I've worked almost every day this week at one job or the other. But here's my week in the few pictures from my phone!

Like I said, I've been busy.

school, work, and then more school

That's pretty much been my life this past week.  I am so excited to actually have a bit of time to myself this weekend.  Maybe I'll be able to make a real blog post too!
The gentleman and I just ate some delicious pizza and we just put in the Neverending Story II.  Pretty pumped to watch it, we watched the first one last week and it was so good, as always :)

I'm also working on lesson plans for next week.  Which I'm pretty excited about, I'm teaching about the Underground Railroad and leading intervention groups - I've got some awesome games lined up for the kiddos! Of course, by kiddos, I really mean my fifth graders who would hate it if I called them kiddos.  But anyways back to that free time I mentioned, tomorrow we had big plans to visit the prettiest little stadium in America to cheer on those Eagles, but then we learned that I no longer get in for freezies. I was getting so excited about putting on my blue and gold dress and tailgating.  Of course I'm still planning on being completely true blue tomorrow, I just don't have the money to pay for a ticket - especially to a game that isn't that exciting.  I mean it's Jacksonville, I couldn't even tell you what their mascot is.

But anyways we have now decided to hit the road after I get off work tomorrow to Savannah.  It's only an hour away and filled with some of our favorite places.  I already know we'll be hitting up our favorite Goodwill, Petsmart, HomeGoods, and the WorldMarket!  We also plan on having a nice dinner to celebrate 2 years together :)

It's definitely not what we planned, but it's going to be an awesome day, I know it!
In other news, here's what our week has looked like according to my iPhone.
Monster Mash and I had some cuddle time!
Blu Bird laid around on his skateboard looking all kinds of fluffy!
Ben got me roses after a tough day at work last weekend :)
He also cooked me dinner pretty much every night this week
because I have been disgustingly sick!

Miles laid around the house... not shocking

How's your week been going? Are you incredibly busy too?

I am a slacker

So school started, and so did my new 65 hour work week schedule.  Whew, I have been worn out this entire week.  It's been hard to stay awake to finish my work, but it has to be done.  So far this week, I have written 3 1/2 lesson plans.  I'm pretty proud of myself.  I'm definitely not really used to this amount of work, but like I said, it has to be done.  I actually start teaching tomorrow.  I'm pretty excited about it, I will be teaching my homeroom about the properties of multiplication, which shouldn't be too tough since they literally just learned about the properties of addition.

Other than school, I've been working... way too much, but that's ok because my check in a couple of weeks is going to be amazing.  I've had little time for new recipes which is no bueno, but the gentleman and I plan to fix that problem this upcoming week.  I'm doing my best to keep up with all of my work and even get a little bit ahead so hopefully that will allow a bit more free time in the near future.

other tan all these bits and pieces here is what my week has looked like according to my iPhone, unfortunately I'm slacking on picture taking as well, so please don't be too upset at me!

How was your week?

So here's the deal about 6am...

When you wake up then and spend 8 hours with 5th graders and then go home to work, you end up becoming a sucky blogger.  You have high hopes at 7 am when you're making your to-do list for the day, but when 3:15 rolls around and it's time to go home, all you want to do is snack and sleep.

Well at least that's my experience with 6 am.
Honestly, it isn't as awful as it sounds.  I enjoy my day and it goes by pretty quickly, I just have to get used to waking up early and not having time to just be lazy.   So really what are the perks of being in student teaching:

5th graders love my fashion style! I received compliments on my dress, shoes, and necklace today.  Super ego boost!
The necklace was made by my awesome seester beeteedubs!

My sweet boy makes me dinner and lets me eat all the pie I want!
Also a perk of working directly next to Coldstone - delicious peanut butter pie!
Getting to go back to school shopping! This is by far my favorite.  I can justify buying whatever I want when I relate it back to school.  New tote bag - totally necessary for my binder. New shoes - well I need them for school of course! New clothes - I need those compliments to keep coming from my friendly 10 year olds!

So student teaching isn't all bad, just tiring.  I start teaching next week - the properties of multiplication! Please hold in your screams of excitement.  It's not a super exciting topic, but I'm excited to get back into the swing of things.  What I'm most excited about however, is my unit topic - Physical and Chemical changes! AHHHH <--- serious scream of excitement.  I love teaching science, and there's so much you can do with this topic.  I really can't wait to start planning it all our.  However first I have to finish my lesson plans for next week as I take on those properties.

If you have any ideas on either of these topics, send them my way!!

Wish me luck!

Busy busy

Haven't posted too much lately. It's all due to my lovely schedule. This week was originally going to be a week of laziness, sleeping in and lounging all day... That was the plan at least until Einsteins needed workers and the Phonathon (second job) needed help with interviews.

So pretty much everyday this week I've been working at Einsteins and then going to the Phonathon... Ok not everyday just two, but either way it hasn't been fun. I know it's good though, considering I'm getting paid for all of it and it's getting me used to a hectic schedule which will no doubt start up on the 20th.

In my bits of free time, when I'm not taking cat naps I've been working on a few projects. Obviously the entertainment center, but I'm also entering Forever21's flashpack contest where you DIY a backpack. I'm really enjoying working on it and in my opinion it looks really good :)

Here are some pictures of both the entertainment center, with paint, and the backpack, which I'm not sure if it's done or not yet.

Next week is another hectic one, I'm just hoping I'll be able to keep this all up when student teaching starts!

Coming to you from the wonderful world of Einsteins
