Wishlist Wednesday: Teacher

So as I've begun to really make myself at home in my classroom I've found a few things that I could really use everyday in my classroom.  I would bet money they aren't things all teachers need, but they're the silly things that I wish I had.

Highly doubt this is on every teacher's wishlist, but for a girl with two tattoos, it is at the top! This tattoo concealer would be rather useful on days when it's hot and I want to not wear a cardigan...so everyday here in Arizona.  My tattoos aren't inappropriate by any means but it's against dress code and I try my best to keep them all covered up. 

Who would have realized it was so hot in Arizona already. hah. I am in dire need of school appropriate shorts, well really just shorts other than running shorts. These are from Gap and I love that I can get them in just a ton of colors.  Too bad they're $40 a pair.  I think I'll be visiting the outlet gap when I pick Nina up from Vegas.

Ok, this may be odd.  I want small desks.  My kids do not need all of that space to spread their junk on.  It just makes them messier! Obviously this isn't something I would ever buy myself, ever, but hey a wishlist can be a little ridiculous sometimes right?

Arizona water tastes bad. I thought Statesboro water was bad, but this is a whole new level.  Ben couldn't stand it while he was out here so he bought me one of those pitcher filtered things.  Now if only I could convince him that I need one for the faucet in my classroom.

Ok, I'm done with all of my silly wishing.  Except the tattoo stuff and shorts are not a joke.  I will have to do some investing in the near future.  I mean no offense to anyone who appreciates the large desks and incredibly minerally (definitely not a real word) water, they're just not my taste I guess.

Wishlist Wednesday:Home

Alright here's the deal: I am in a brand new state, brand new city, and a brand new apartment.  I have old as dirt furniture, minus my bed, which my parents bought me like three months ago. I've been doing the best I can to re-vamp some of my furniture and while it's coming together nicely (you'll see the final results soon) It's a lot of work for furniture that I don't especially love.  It's made me long for an Ikea a bit closer that Pheonix, which is four hours away.

I figured I would share with you some of the pieces I would love to have in my new apartment.

Do I have a microwave? Yes.
But is it oversized and black and completely not match everything else in my kitchen... yes. 

I am in love with the color of this gorgeous console table from Target. 

 

Is it surprising that I want matching side tables for the living room as well?  These are only ten bucks a piece and I believe I might just have to buy them, because I'm a bit tired of mismatched stuff. 

Okay, so this isn't necessarily my dream nightstand.  But I would love to just have a pair of matching nightstands, and these would work just fine. 

I've been using my patio as a work area lately, and I'm not the cleanest worker.  I am in need of a cute rug to cover up some of my paint.  Plus concrete is too cold for my feet!

Wishlist Wednesday : Cats!

Ok, so I'm a cat person.  I very much appreciate the fact that all I have to do for my boys is fill their bowl every now and then and clean the litterbox.  Dogs are a bit too much work for me, right now in life at least.
I have a big problem with buying things for my cats though - as in those toys at the dollar store - they're only a dollar! However, dollars add up, and the cats can't play with a thousand toys at one time.  It doesn't really stop me though.  I am always dreaming up fabulous things for them to play with or having to stop myself from picking up that new collar.

I mean really, how could you not spoil these handsome boys!

Here are just a few things I have been wishing for this week:

This cute rug from Urban Outfitters fits my style perfectly.
 It's actually not even out of my price range at $24.
However I have no where to put it :/

This dress from Anthropologie is adorable.
I am always on the hunt for dresses that can be worn to work and out later.
Maybe when I get that big girl job I'll be able to invest in this dress!

Last year I got new towels for Christmas in brown and green...
Well it's time for a new set and I'm thinking yellow will look marvelous!
These specific towels are from the Nate Berkus collection at Target, which I adore!

I have been dying for a food dehydrator!
Everywhere I look they are a bit too expensive.
 I think that this one just may be the one...
if I can find enough room in my teeny tiny kitchen. 

I've been getting back into working out lately and
have discovered myself in need of a yoga mat.
This one is definitely out of my price range but a girl can wish right?
