Life lately.

So as most of you know, Ben was here last week.  It was amazing, and went by waaaaaay too quickly.  We spent the week cooking, hiking, and just being together.  It was so strange seeing him here, in my apartment, but so normal too.  It felt like we were just back in Statesboro and no time had passed at all.  I am so looking forward to May when he will be here permanently and there won't be anymore goodbyes.  I would love to share pictures with you of our adventures,  but I have somehow managed to misplace my camera cord and I only took two pictures on my phone all week. (Yes, I know I'm lame.)

We didn't have any clean bowls, so Ben, being the genius that he is, decided that we would just share a ginormous bowl of ice cream in one of my pyrex dishes. 

I have spent the remainder of my weekend moping about and eating a lot of peanut butter while watching Twin Peaks.  Only two weeks till Nina visits and just about 50 days till Ben.

Favorite Things: Ben

This guy is my best friend.  Want to know the best thing? He's here in my apartment! He chose to spend roughly $500 to spend his spring break with me.  He's amazing and I really don't want this week to end, but I do because that just means it's closer to when he's here full time. I can't wait.  Did I mention that he's just really great and perfect and I'm definitely not good enough for him.

We're spending the week adventuring through Bullhead City and trying to pack in as much fun and good food as we can into our short time together.  Most likely I won't be posting too much here, but don't fret I'll be sure to post pictures and stories once he's back on a flight and I'm back to be a lonely lady.

I hope your week is half as wonderful as I'm sure mine is going to be!

Troubles

What do you do when your best friend says he needs to join the Navy or he will regret it his whole life, and you aren't strong enough to live through that?

Today wasn't a very good day, but I guess I'm working through the wreckage.  I am certainly trying to figure out what I want and need to do in my life in the next 6 months or so.

Christmas happenings

Just some bits and pieces from our holly and jolly Christmas! This will be the first year we spend all holidays together and I love it!

oh hello blog...

Well it certainly appears that student teaching took up a good bit of my time this semester. Seeing as how my blog seems to have been a bit abandoned.
But, as of yesterday I am a college graduate and perhaps that will mean I have more time for the blogging world.  Speaking of graduation, I cannot believe that the semester has already come and gone.  It went by far too quickly for my liking.  I have been on the hunt for a job since about mid October, so please keep your fingers crossed.  Until I find that perfect job I get the pleasure of continuing to work at Einsteins and substituting.  Not the ideal situation, but it will keep the bills paid and kittens fed.  I am excited about the possibility of having some more free time in the future, more time for cuddles, cooking, and perhaps some blogging :)

My life for the past few months has pretty much consisted of school, school work, work, and a little bit of Ben time.  Here are the highlights:

It has been a fun few months even if I thought I was going to die of sleep deprivation at times.  I am ready to take on the world now!

I'm jumping on board the Friday's Letters train!

Dear Friday, I wish you felt more like Friday rather than Monday.  Dear Student Teaching Orientation, Why is it that I left feeling more confused than I went in? I thought it was supposed to clear things up, I am disappointed in you!  Dear Pizza, We've been together a long time, and while I adore you, I think we need some space.  You're too delicious and I can't resist you even though I know I should. Dear Kittens, You have been incredibly cute these past two days, keep it up, I'm going to need it next week! Dear Operation Move In, You suck, Statesboro is in total chaos thanks to all of the new freshmen.  I will not miss you when I am gone.  Dear Ben, I love you tons, even though you forget about the laundry.
